Questions You May Have (FAQ)
1. How does the App deidentify user information?
We use an architectural approach to protecting personal information based on complete physical separation between the development and production environments:
- The Production (Live) environment works exclusively with real users and their data, stored in a secure production database.
- The Development (Dev) environment uses its own fully isolated database. It contains only test and artificial data that has no connection to real users.
These two environments never intersect. We do not copy or use production data for development or testing. As a result, deidentification is achieved automatically — since the development environment never contains any real personal data, there is no need to mask or anonymize it. Data security is built directly into the system architecture.
2. Do we deidentify data and use it for development services, improvements, etc.?
We do not use real user data for development or improvement purposes. All development work is done using artificial or test data only.
3. Where is the data stored?
All data is stored on servers located in the United States, hosted by Supabase (which operates on AWS US-West infrastructure).
4. How long does the App store user data?
Your user information is stored only while your user account exists. When a user deletes their account, all personal data not addressed in other provisions of this policy is immediately and permanently deleted.
5. Does Mone share user data with third-party service providers?
Mone may disclose the personal information it collects, including sensitive personal information (if any), to certain parties as described below, for purposes such as to support the functions of the App or the Services. Mone does not share user data with third parties as defined in the CCPA. All processors are bound by data processing agreements.
The following service providers may use your personal information as explicitly provided below. If you do not consent to these service providers using your personal information for the purpose of the App and its Services, then discontinue use of the App or the Services.
- Supabase: Email, first and last name, user ID, encrypted authentication credentials — account creation, login, session management, data storage.
- Stripe: Email, first and last name, user ID — payment processing (routed through Supabase).
- RevenueCat: User ID, email address — in-app subscription management and entitlements.
- Postmark: Subscription payment date, subscription expiration date, username/user ID, subscription price, last four digits of the user's credit card — transactional email delivery.
- OneSignal: User ID and push notification tokens — delivery of push notifications.
- BastionGPT: Quiz results from the App's live environment as a method of production for the user's use of the App. User's personal data is not identifiable beyond the live environment on the App. Provides a HIPAA-compliant processing layer.
- Mux: Usage metadata for video streaming — hosting and delivery of introductory videos.
6. Will Mone use personal data to create aggregated analytics and statistics for Mone's internal purposes?
Yes, but only in an aggregated, non-personalized form. For internal statistics displayed in the admin panel, we store information about:
- User visits to articles and pillars.
- Collaborator and admin actions related to article management (e.g., editing, deleting, content creation stages).
No personally identifiable data is used for internal analytics; only activity metrics are tracked.
7. How do I delete my account and data?
Within the App: Settings > Delete Account. This triggers an automated function that permanently deletes your data from Supabase, Stripe, and linked systems. You may also request deletion by emailing privacy@monewellnessapp.com.
8. Is Mone subject to HIPAA?
Mone Wellness LLC is not a covered entity or business associate under HIPAA. The App does not provide medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Our AI content layer uses BastionGPT, which provides a HIPAA-compliant processing environment. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical concerns.
